This teacher's guide accompanies Explode the Code Book 3, 2nd Edition and Explode the Code Book 4, 2nd Edition (both sold-separately).and provides instructors with additional options for instruction and skill reinforcement.

Lessons include a short review, separate sections with specific instruction for phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary, fluency, comprehension, writing, and review (some activities reference using the Wall Chart and Activity Book or Card set), as well as instructions for completing the pages in the student workbook. Additional notes for differentiating instruction by learning style (visual, auditory, kinesthetic) are also included, along with challenge exercises and extra practice found in the half-books (Books 3 1/2 and 4 1/2). Instructions for the post test forms found in Books 3, 3 1/2, 4, and 4 1/2 are also included.

Specific answers to the student pages are not offered, as the book assumes student and teacher will be completing these together. However, answers for pre-test and post-test questions are included. Please also note these books only cover the answers for the "whole" levels, not the 1/2 levels.
